General Surgery
General Surgery is a discipline where the surgeon diagnoses and treats a wide spectrum of diseases. The areas which General Surgery cover include alimentary tract, abdomen and its contents, breast, skin and soft tissue, endocrine system, solid organ transplantation, paediatric surgery, surgical critical care, surgical oncology (including head and neck), trauma/burns, and vascular surgery.
Some General Surgeons also sub-specialise into one or more disciplines.
